Lawrence McDaniel

Lead Product Engineer

An American data scientist, full stack developer and online instructor at University of British Columbia with significant experience in linear systems, cloud computing and classic backend stacks and front-end frameworks including Django, React, Angular, and WordPress. He also works extensively with, and blogs about the Open edX® online learning management system.

He’s a veteran of multiple startups and early-stage ventures with dozens of successful product launches in multiple industries and markets around the world.

Lawrence received his bachelor of science in Computer Science at University of North Texas and has completed additional coursework at Johns Hopkins University, University of Pennsylvania and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
